JSC TransContainer is the affiliate of JSC “Russian Railways”. More than 5 thousand people employed by the company today and company is running 17 affiliates covering the entire network of Russian Railways. Currently JSC “TransContainer” is optimizing Russian container transportation logistics on the basis of its own affiliates and 47 terminals located in all freight traffic centers of Russia. The priority target of the company’s activities is development of its own international agency network in close cooperation with European and Asian railways as well as partnership organizations. Representative offices of JSC TransContainer are operating in Germany, Latvia, Belorussia, Ukraine and China. A number of agencies in China, Japan and South Korea have been established and are currently operating successfully. A joint venture between JSC TransContainer and the Finnish Railways named “ContainerTransScandinavia” was established. JSC “TransContainer” is providing customers with the full range of multi-modal cargo shipping services, it implies rendering rail and road transport services, as well as terminal cargo handling and customs clearing services. Any of currently establishing customer service centers on the basis of its own agencies will enable planning, calculation and payment for the whole range of requested services regardless of where these were rendered. JSC “TransContainer” is the biggest platform owner in Russia, CIS and Baltic countries, the assets of JSC TransContainer include 24 000 rolling stock units and more than 48 000 large-tonnage containers.
