KZ-Iran railroad to run from Zhanaozen, Mangystau region

The railroad from Kazakhstan to Iran will run from Zhanaozen
The decision was taken at the last year summit of the Caspian littoral states in Tehran. Presidents of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Iran signed a declaration on construction of Zhanaozen-Kyzylkiya-Bereket-Etrek-Gorgan railroad network.

The most part of the road will run through Turkmenistan. The Iranian side obliged to build the road from Iran to Turkmenistan as well as from Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan imports fruits and vegetables from Iran. The new railroad will boost development of trade relations between the two states and tourist cluster.
